Freerain Systems CEO Josh Karp to Present to Pennsylvania Public Purchasing Association About Using Technology to Improve Public Procurement

Philadelphia, September 26, 2005 – Freerain Systems is please to announced that CEO Joshua Karp is scheduled to present today to the Pennsylvania Public Purchasing Association (PAPPA). The subject of the presentation will be using technology to improve public procurement.

The meeting will be held at 10am in the offices of the Department of Procurement Services at the School District of Philadelphia. Only PAPPA members and their guests are invited.

“It is a great honor to have the opportunity to present to the PAPPA membership,” said Mr. Karp. “The members of PAPPA are responsible for ensuring that procurement occurs with the greatest efficiency possible in order to save taxpayers. I hope to add value by bringing my own knowledge gained from a career using technology to improve processes like procurement.”

The Pennsylvania Public Purchasing Association was chartered in 1984 as the thirty-eighth chapter of NIGP under the name of the Delaware Valley Chapter. In 1999 the chapter officially changed its name to the Pennsylvania Public Purchasing Association and has a membership base that geographically extends throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Members are affiliated with purchasing at various levels of government, including State, City, County, Township, School Districts, State Police, Housing Authorities and Sewer Authorities. Within the Chapter, there are several co-operative purchasing groups as well.
