International Calls From Landlines
The prices of BT for international calls from landlines largely depends upon your payment plan: there are three basic plans to choose from regarding international calls - Friends and family International; International Freedom; and The Standard BT International. The first two plans mentioned, "Friends and Family International" and "International Freedom" offer much the same prices on international calls. The difference between the two depends on whether your call is landline-landline, or landline-mobile. To call Egypt from a landline, for example, is 16.1p/min for the first two payment plans. For the third, the standard one, a call to Egypt would cost up to 93.4p/min. At weekends and peak hours the price goes up to 80.7p, which applies to all three payment plans altogether. For an international call to Egypt from a landline to a mobile phone, the price is more than double the cost of a landline-landline call: 38.6p/min for the plans "Friends and Family International" and "International Freedom", and for the standard BT international call rate, prices jumps to 118.4p/min and 105.7p/min.
